We drive for exceptional results in our work and in our relationships, which is reflected in the months leading up to the competition as well as the weekend itself. JDC West delegates have a reputation for their remarkable quality.

Board of Directors

The JDC West Business Competition is a registered not-for-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors comprised of JDC West alumni and the current Organizing Committee External Co-Chair.  The Board’s main roles are to oversee the long-term strategy, risk mitigation, relationship management, and high-level financial health of the competition to ensure its long-term sustainability.


JDC West Vision 2025

In 2015, JDC West celebrated its first 10 years. As a community, we have created a vision for the next 10 years of JDC West that is guided by our vision and our mission, founded on our core values, and driven by four strategic pillars: Relationships, Development, Difference makers, and Agility.


Past Competitions

JDC West hosted its first competition at the University of British Columbia in 2006. Since then, JDC West has been hosted in multiple cities around Western Canada. JDC West has been leaving impacts, fueling productivity, going beyond profits, and achieving excellence.

Community Involvement

JDC West is committed to giving back to communities across the country. Every year, the community involvement competition encourages school teams to log volunteer hours and raise money for charitable organizations by working with external organizations and through our annual Chillin’ For Charity event. For 2017 competition, JDC West teams raised $304,772 and logged over 9676 hours for Canadian charities.
