The University of Regina is home to ten faculties, two academic units and approximately two dozen academic departments which have established reputations for excellence and innovative program leading to Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctoral degrees. In Fall 2018, a total of 15,568 full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at the University and our three federated colleges: Campion College, Luther College, and the First Nations University of Canada. Our colleges bring excellence and diversity to the educational experience offered.

The competition will be held in our Education Building, Centre for Kinesiology and Research and Innovation Centre which are all connected through an indoor walkway. All of the events are closely situated, easily accessible and within a two minute walk of each other. With the energy and excitement building, the University of Regina is ready to host an unforgettable JDC West experience for 2020.

Regina, the capital city of Saskatchewan, is well known for its organizational skills, committed volunteers and a work ethic that won’t let us settle for anything but the best. Our city boasts a high standard of success for many large scale events including: record attendance; record revenues and record excitement. As a city, we truly embrace the spirit of large spectator-oriented evets and pride ourselves on hosting a good party! We make guests feel welcome and work to ensure that our renowned hospitality isn’t soon forgotten by visitors to our city. As one of Canada’s fastest growing regions, Regina is truly ready to expand on past hosting success by welcome Western Canada back to Regina for JDC West 2020!

Regina’s people are known for ingenuity and a never-give-up attitude, even when the odds are stacked against them. From the beginnings of the city, choosing a location with little water and no trees, Regina has grown to be a beacon of strength and resilience on the prairies. With an innovative history, Regina continues to be a city with a strong story of growth. Regina is not a sleepy prairie town, but a bustling capital city in the heart of the country.
